Some objectives of the Class:

  1. To understand concepts of web-based design, to relate those concepts in the creation of functional, navigable, and interactive web sites by demonstrating appropriate technical proficiencies and conceptual structures.
  2. To explore and develop your own concepts and visual language within the framework of the unique characteristics of the new media environment.
  3. To develop a critical approach towards art web site aesthetics and design.

STATEMENT OF INTENT:
You will complete an essay of 250 words that will describe how you visually represented the content of the assignment. The quality of your writing should be appropriate for college level. You will receive an automatic C if there are more than three spelling or grammatical errors. Spell check and grammar check everything before submitting it for evaluation. –will accompany your projects

QUIZZES: there will be one quiz for the midterm related to web authoring software

WEEKLY JOURNAL:

You are also required to keep a weekly journal which you will email to me every Friday.

ATTENDANCE:
Attendance is mandatory. You may miss two sessions. After two sessions your grade will drop one full grade for each session that you miss. This includes Lab days. During Lab days I expect you to be there from the beginning to the end of session.
